Clean, quiet, happy place to take a break. Renovations have been finished and more to come. The people are always friendly and call me by name. The wi-fi has improved. The hot breakfast is always well-stocked. The pool is clean. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
We stayed here for one night, and had good night's sleep. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and we enjoyed a good breakfast in the morning. The room was nice and cool and the fitness center was clean. One machine, however, was broken. Overall a really pleasant stay.
We stayed here working on a job close by. Went to pay for the 2nd week with cash. We were told cash would not be accepted and my debit card was already charged for the full price. When we checked in we were told we could pay partially with cash and partially with debit card. The first week we paid half with our Rewards points and the remaining with a debit card. Then we were told they already booked our room and did not have any others available for the next week. Horrible customer service. We love La Quintas usually since we earn points at this hotel chain however this location has been the worst location so far in the country that we have ever been to. Would not recommend this location to my worst enemy!! Horrible front desk service!!
The hotel smelled like mildew when i first walked in. This is never a good sign. If i hadnt already paid i wouldnt have stayed. Our room was humid and had the same mildew smell. I waa not impressed with beds and the walls in our room are in desperate need of a paint job. It made the room look dirty even it was fairly clean. The pool was disgusting and the timer for the spa did not work. Overall i was very dissapointed and will not stay here again. I will most likely stick to The Marriot Town Place across the street for my frequent trips to Port Arthur.
Good AC and Clean room. However gave us the wrong room. Made reservations for a family of 4 with 2 queen beds; and obviously gave us a single. Completely booked, and I paid money to sleep on the floor. Don't worry the girl at the desk gave us $5 off our stay.
