The carpet had holes in it.
The room was muggy, almost dank. I finally got it to dry out after a few days by leaving the window open and turning off the AC. Fortunately the weather had cooled down a bit.
Only positive is it had a fridge and a microwave.
Not impressed with the customer service at all. Everytime I walked in there was no one at the front desk. When I was checking out the front desk attendant was talking on her cellphone.
If it wasn't for the guy behind the desk at 3 am, it would be one star. It was pretty bad / not cleaned. But I want to blame that on Harvey. It was damp in my room. Everything was sweating from the moisture down stairs. Downstairs was getting fixed. Found 2 silver fish in my bathtub just chilling. Washed them down the drain. Old soap still on the bath tub. Hairs all in the "clean" linens. Tried not to sleep in the bed but started freezing. Floor not vacuumed or swept. Ironing board looks like someone was killed on it. Kitchen was stocked. They were the only place that had a room in that town so I had to settle. The housekeeping lady woke me up at 9 and said to check out. I said check out isn't til 12 for me. And she said no 11. I said no he changed it to 12 for me. She said no check out at 11. And I just agreed so I can close the door and she said okay you going to check out now.? I looked down out my swear pants and oversized t-shirt and said yea sure. I got ready real quick because I could hear her outside and when I was leaving she was only 2 doors away and walked to me and went to my room to clean it. Just rude.
Just want to warn people that this hotel is pretty run down and not managed well.
I called and was told price is $64 but when I get there were asking to pay $74. I feel cheated.... the guy at the front desk was nice tho. Other reviews were right, room is damp. Need to turn off a/c to somewhat air it out.
Surprisingly this Motel 6 is actually very comfortable and the rooms are very cozy. With a great price and the Cozy rooms that they have I'll definitely be coming back.
The fire alarm went off at like midnight. The guy came and unplugged it.
TV remote didn't have a back, so the batteries kept falling out. (I hate to nit pick but the little things make a big difference when you're living on the road).
Took some flood damage on first floor. No fault for that, and I wouldn't have said anything but looks like there has been a moisture problem here for a while. Slept on top of the covers with the lights on. Thumbs up on the shower, great pressure and most hotels around right after Harvey don't have running water. Bring your own shampoo.
No shampoo in room.
This was the only place I could find in town on the fly. Wish I had found the Econo Lodge down the street that has free breakfast.
Yes this place got hit by Hurricane Harvey but I'm pretty sure they had problems before that.
Phone rang and woke me up at 4:30 two mornings in a row. Nobody on the line. Tried to call the front desk but dialing 0 didn't work.
Parking lot strewn with trash.
